Warming Your Sourdough Bread

❄️ Defrosted Bread
Step 1 — Defrost at room temperature for 4 hours
Step 2 — Then warm using one of these methods
  • 350°F Oven20–25 min
  • 200°F Oven60–90 min
  • Warming Drawer3–4 hrs
💡 A light spray of water before warming helps revive the crust and gives you that fresh-baked crunch.

Warming Your Garlic Cheese Pull-Apart

💡 Plan ahead: This bread needs 6–7 hours unwrapped on the counter to fully defrost. For a lunch serving, use the overnight fridge method below.
❄️ Option A — Counter Defrost
  1. Remove from freezer and leave unwrapped on the counter for 6–7 hours until fully defrosted.
🌙 Option B — Overnight Fridge Method
  1. Keep the bread wrapped in its foil and place in the refrigerator overnight.
  2. In the morning, move to the counter and open just the top of the foil.
  3. Gently spread apart the sections of the bread slightly.
  4. Leave on the counter with the foil top open for 2–3 hours until fully defrosted.
🔥 Baking — Once Fully Defrosted
  1. Wrap the entire loaf tightly back in the foil — all sides sealed.
  2. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.
  3. Open the top of the foil and bake uncovered for a further 8–10 minutes.
  4. Remove when the cheese is fully melted, bubbly, and lightly golden.Every oven is different — trust your eyes and take it out when it looks ready.

Making Pizza with Rena's Sourdough Crust

💡 The hotter the oven, the crispier the base. Preheat fully before putting the crust in.
  1. Preheat your oven or Betty Crocker to full heat.Allow at least 15 minutes to fully preheat.
  2. Place the par-baked crust directly on the rack or a baking tray.
  3. Add your sauce, cheese, and toppings.Yes — even meat! Load it up.
  4. Bake for 12–14 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
